Sino Biopharmaceutical Selected for Time Magazine's Inaugural "The World’s Most Impactful Companies" List

Release Date: 2026-06-04

Recently, the American magazine Time, in collaboration with the globally renowned data statistics agency Statista, released the inaugural "The World’s Most Impactful Companies" list. The list selects 500 benchmark companies from around the world that create positive value for global development. Sino Biopharmaceutical (1177.HK) was successfully selected in the Chemistry/Pharmaceuticals/Biotechnology category, ranking 181st globally across all industries, making it a highly representative Hong Kong pharmaceutical company on this year's list.

In recent years, while the global annual economic growth rate has stabilized in the 3% range, issues such as the accelerating evolution of climate change and the widening gap in health inequality have become increasingly prominent. The market's assessment of corporate value has long moved beyond a singular focus on profitability, now emphasizing the dual empowerment of commercial and social value. This year's "The World’s Most Impactful Companies" list used a sample of approximately 9,900 listed and unlisted companies of a certain scale. It evaluated them across dimensions such as environment, health, society, knowledge, and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. With the quality of impact as the core evaluation criterion and economic scale as a supplementary weight, the list ultimately selected 500 companies that have made addressing high-priority global challenges a core part of their business and have had the greatest positive impact on the world.

As a leading innovation- and R&D-driven pharmaceutical group in China, Sino Biopharmaceutical's business covers the entire industry chain, including pharmaceutical R&D platforms, intelligent manufacturing, and a comprehensive sales system. Its products cover both biologics and chemical drugs, with a leading advantage in four core therapeutic areas: tumor, liver disease/cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, respiratory/autoimmune diseases, and surgery/analgesia. Sino Biopharmaceutical has always adhered to its mission to "improve the quality of life and uphold the dignity of life", and its development philosophy of "Health Technology, Warming More Lives". It is deeply engaged in the R&D of innovative drugs, breaking down disciplinary, technological, and geographical barriers, and leveraging broader international cooperation to bring more new and effective drugs to benefit patients.

From 2023 to the present, Sino Biopharmaceutical has received cumulative approval for 17 innovative products, including 8 national Class 1 innovative drugs. Focusing on unmet medical needs worldwide, the group continues to promote the international expansion of more than ten products, such as fulvestrant injection, fosaprepitant for injection, and magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate injection, to continuously benefit more patients globally. As of the end of 2025, the group's key products have cumulatively treated over 170 million patients. In addition to approved and marketed products, the group has made forward-looking layouts in cutting-edge innovative tracks such as ADCs, proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs), bispecific antibodies, and small molecule inhibitors. Several products under development are undergoing clinical trials simultaneously in the United States and Australia and have been presented on top international academic stages, with the potential to provide new solutions for treating difficult diseases worldwide.

While adhering to comprehensive independent innovation, Sino Biopharmaceutical continuously enhances global drug accessibility through diverse models such as out-licensing, product in-licensing, strategic cooperation, and public welfare funds. In the past year, its core enterprise Chia Tai Tianqing signed a "Pharma Partner NPP" cooperation agreement with the Greater China Cancer Foundation, bringing high-quality innovative drugs such as the world's first-in-class CDK2/4/6 inhibitor culmerciclib capsules, anlotinib hydrochloride capsules, and benmelstobart monoclonal antibody injection to benefit Hong Kong patients with urgent needs. The co-promotion of zongertinib with Boehringer Ingelheim provides a new precision treatment option for lung cancer patients with the HER2 target. The out-licensing of rovadicitinib tablets to Sanofi not only realized the international value of the company's innovative pipeline but also provided a new treatment option for the rare disease of myelofibrosis. The successful domestic approval and marketing of naldemedine, in-licensed from Shionogi, further completes the supportive care system for tumor.

Time magazine's "The World’s Most Impactful Companies" list, launched for the first time this year, is a comprehensive corporate impact assessment based on quantified data of scientific net impact. A total of 44 Chinese companies (including from Hong Kong and Taiwan regions) were shortlisted. This successful inclusion is an authoritative recognition of Sino Biopharmaceutical's innovation capabilities, industry value, and global social responsibility by an international authoritative body. In the future, the group will continue to deepen its commitment to pharmaceutical innovation, accelerate its international layout, and enhance global medical cooperation, using hardcore technological strength to support the high-quality development of the global health cause.
