Theresa Tse reviewed the transformation of SBP Group over the past decade: from continuously increasing investment in innovative R&D, to steadily advancing internationalization, and then to embracing the AI wave, the company has solidified its development foundation step by step, growing into a leading innovative pharmaceutical company in China.
She stated that the rapid development of AI technology is giving wings to pharmaceutical innovation. SBP Group is firmly promoting "All in AI," integrating AI capabilities throughout the entire industry chain of R&D, clinical trials, production, and commercialization. This includes the PDE3/4 inhibitor TQC3721, which was licensed to AstraZeneca this year for $1.9 billion. Looking to the future, the company will continue to push AI applications into more cutting-edge scientific research fields, tackling "undruggable" targets and molecules, and using AI to break through the capability boundaries of traditional drug manufacturing.
Currently, China's pharmaceutical industry is in a key window period where innovative achievements are rapidly materializing and the globalization process is continuously accelerating. Theresa Tse pointed out that as their innovative strength continues to grow, Chinese pharmaceutical companies are accelerating their global expansion and entering a new stage of competing on the same stage with European and American multinational pharmaceutical companies. "Although the internationalization journey is still in its early stages, beneath the challenges lies a vast blue ocean of opportunity. This is the most exciting era for China's pharmaceutical professionals."

"Comprehensive innovation and internationalization are the core strategies for corporate development. " Theresa Tse said that transforming innovative advantages into sustained global competitiveness tests not only R&D capabilities but also talent and organizational abilities. In advancing the global layout, talent is the primary foundation. It is necessary to continuously attract and retain top industry talent and build an organizational system adapted to global business. For SBP Group, with over 20,000 employees, it is even more important to build consensus, making innovation and internationalization a common goal for all employees, and to move forward with united strength and determination.
